Home beer brewing, as complex as it may seem, is not as complicated as you may think. The process of home brewing your own beer is basically divided into a minimum number of steps, in contrast to the seemingly intimidating steps that many advanced home brewers prefer to take. The basic process of beer brewing at home can be broken down into steps from finding ingredients which are composed of water, grain, hops and yeast. Then, after the beans are crushed, soaking them in water. The process of soaking is basically like making tea, the only difference is that the starch grains need to be converted into sugars that can be used, or fermented by the yeast. So, basically, the whole process of home brewing is the conversion of sugars from barley or other grains then fermented malt sugars into alcohol and carbon dioxide through the fermentation of beer. Now, back to the "soaking" process. There I wanted to point out a few details about the process of transformation of sugars. These sugars and starches actually begin in the grains. Everything happens at a temperature of about 165 degrees Fahrenheit.
