Losing weight is not difficult to do. But summoning the will power to actually do it can be. Like everything in life, it's mind over matter. Anyone can lose weight if they actually set their minds to it. People lose weight every day and there is no reason you cannot too. It doesn't matter if you are obese, overweight or just want to lose that beer gut, everyone can achieve their ideal weight and SHOULD. There are plenty of scams out there promising instant weight loss with a simple pill or a magic word. There are diets out there, albeit, that do work at getting the weight off, but ultimately fail because they are ridiculous to maintain, and quite often your body actually still requires what you have cut out. I'm not going to tell you what to do, but this is what you do: stay away from all of this. It will burn a hole in your pocket and only solve the problem temporarily. They need to understand that losing weight isn't "dieting", but a lifestyle change and a small one at that.
One of the most common problems areas for both men and women is the abdomen. There are many different names for a bulging gut and these include a paunch, a beer gut and many more. Little wonder that there are several different kinds of plastic surgery procedures to choose from to correct, remedy and get rid of the bulge. Tummy tuck surgery has just one goal, which is for the patient to have a flatter and firmer stomach. Basically, this kind of operation aims for an aesthetically pleasing and well defined abdomen. Complete Abdominoplasty : This technique is usually reserved for patients who have a lot of excess skin and fat deposits. The incision for this technique starts from one end of the hip to the other, very close to the pubic area. The belly button is usually relocated or repositioned because of the great amount of skin removed. The tissues and muscles under the abdominal skin is usually detached from it and then tightened to obtain firmer muscles. The excess skin is then trimmed and then reattached with the use of sutures. Liposuction is also an optional procedure for the complete surgery.

Santa's signature large, round belly is no laughing matter. A "beer gut" can indicate the existence of visceral fat - a factor contributing to high cholesterol and elevated blood pressure. This article explains briefly the significance and risks associated with visceral fat, and goes on to talk about a recent study suggesting exercise provides more benefit than diet in combating the pot belly. Visceral fat, sounds evil doesn't it? It's the layer of fat that surrounds the internal organs of your abdomen. In simple words it's your "pot belly" or "beer gut." Excesses of visceral fat are risk factors for heart disease and Type 2 diabetes. What makes belly fat so important over other types of body fat are the inflammatory molecules that visceral fat generates and releases into the bloodstream. These inflammatory molecules flow through the body and can cause a condition known as metabolic syndrome. Metabolic syndrome presents with symptoms like elevated blood pressure and decreased HDL cholesterol. The first and most common suggestion to fight metabolic syndrome is to make changes in daily lifestyle, namely to lower calories in the diet and boost activity levels.
Do want a sexy midsection? Sure who doesn't. But the problem is most people have no idea how to go about and get it. I’m talking about 6-pack abs. Or just a flat, sexy stomach. For some reason the stomach is seen as a very sexy part of the body. But the problem is, that is usually where fat accumulates if we overeat and don’t exercise. Especially for men. Women will get that beer gut too, but usually not as bad-- other problem areas are the hips, thighs, and butt. But we all want a flat, sexy stomach! So what do we do? Usually we do 3 things. 3 things that are wrong. #1 We usually do lots of ab work. Crunches and situps are probably the most common. But it doesn’t work. Why? Because you cannot spot reduce a certain body part. You can’t make one section of your body look unbelievable and leave the rest to chance. It has to be a collaborative effort on your whole body. #2 and #3: Focusing on weight loss and long-duration cardio. Just doesn’t work. Why? Again we come back to Metabolism.
In the past years, there were a number of overweight men and women whose weight has significantly increased worldwide. And even though men are more probable to put their unwanted extra weight on their belly (in the form of love handles, spare tire, beer gut, pot-belly), stomach fat can be absolutely risky for both genders. Scientists at the moment believe that people who are at greater risk of developing health problems as a consequence of too much stomach fat are men with waist size over 40 inches (102 centimeters) and women with waist size over 35 inches (89 centimeters). How Can Stomach Fat Hurt You? Stomach fat is probably the most risky kind of fat and can increase a person's risk of various health problems, including: Diabetes, insulin resistance, heart disease, high blood pressure, stroke, sleep apnea, some types of cancer, etc. The trouble with belly fat is that it is not just stored in your stomach. It is in addition like an active organ that produces hormones and inflammatory matter. Abdominal fat is being stored for low times when our body does not receive enough food.
If you are carrying a few extra kilos of excess body fat around your belly ...love handles ...the spare tire...a beer gut... potbelly, call it what you will - you are not alone. Although the number of overweight people has increased dramatically worldwide in recent years, this is one case where following the crowd is not the best idea because extra weight especially if it is stored around the belly can be downright risky. While being overweight can have negative effects on your health, gaining weight around the abdomen does more harm than simply making your waistband too tight. Health risks such as developing diabetes, heart disease, various forms of cancer and other degenerative diseases increases. Many people put on more belly fat as they get older starting to notice their increasing waistline in their 30's and 40's and gradually putting on more kilos as the years go by. For many, the eating and exercise habits that kept them slim in their youth are just not enough to keep the weight off as they get older.
